GRAND FUNK RAILROAD AT INDIAN RANCH

June 27, 2004

Review of June 27, 2004 show in Webster, Mass. :

It certainly wasn't quiet this past Sunday as GFR rocked the Northeast portion of the US with their show in Webster, Mass. A small venue, about 2500 people, being primarily known for its country and western acts (many big time stars...go to the website, IndianRanch.com), this was the first time a rock band has played the venue.

This was one of the best crowds I have seen in a while...they were totally into it and at the end, were begging for more (time for a second encore, guys...especially under those circumstances).

The band was loud...loud...loud, as Tim F. said the crowd noise was at 110 Db, so he had to turn the band up. After the show, I could hear many people saying things like..."Wow, what a show"....."Awesome"....I tell ya, this crowd was great!!

After the show, the band had a small meet and greet for some very enthusiastic and happy fans, then had to leave to catch a flight.

Another high point for Liz and I was getting to meet Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, past pro wrestler with the WWE (old WWF) and getting our pic with him....his hand is almost as big as Liz's head. He was at the show with the Lobsterman and The Ripper, and were sitting in front of us....it was good to see them again, also.

Well, on to Vegas this weekend and looking forward to the show in New Jersey end of July.
