LIMA OHIO

JULY 26, 2003

The next day, we drove down from Clio, Michigan to Lima, Ohio. We met up with Bill P., Mike L., Joe & Lu, Craig & Nancy, Brad & Denise, the two Lories, Shan & Tonya, Duck and Mrs. Duck, George C., Shock, and others. The concert was being held at a racetrack, and the stage was set up in the center of the track. The Kentucky Headhunters played before GFR. It was a great night for a concert, and as night fell, the crowd gathered to hear the American Band. The set list was reduced, as WTDTS was not played. The guys were right on the money, and Tim F. was cranking up the volume. I listened to the majority of the show from back by the sound board, and the sound was great.

The crowd was into the funk as Mel's bass was causing the dust on the racetrack to swirl up into mini thunder vortexes. As usual, SKOW, The Locomotion, ISLO and WAAB got the biggest fan reactions. Everyone that was there was totally into the band and the music. What a great night!!

After the show, we all went back to the Holiday Inn for what I would describe as the best party I've been to since SSM a few years ago. There are some pictures of this below. I didn't take many pictures of the actual concert.
